When I have a show and the guest does not turn up, I normally try to chat about them and their book not only so people get a little information about them, but also in case they have been delayed and might join the show all be it late.

Today was one of those shows, as after a few minutes my guest Jodi Foster was able to join me for yet another interesting and entertaining, “A Book and a Chat” actually it was show 699 with the 700th show being this Saturday at 11:00AM ET.

Jodi is an intuitive empath, author and TV personality, her story having appeared on SyFy’s Paranormal Witness in a story called “The Apartment”. Now it is available for all to share in her debut book “Forgotten Burial: A Cry for Justice from Beyond the Grave”. In which Jodi tells the true paranormal story unraveling the mystery behind the unsolved case of a missing young woman, Madeline Isabella Johnson.

About “Forgotten Burial” :

Old enough to be fading from local memory, the news of a kidnapping, torture, and sex-slavery story, dubbed The Girl in the Box, grabbed national headlines during much of 1984. Red Bluff couple Cameron and Janice Hooker held a young girl, Colleen Stan, captive in their home for seven years. Author Jodi Foster had never heard of the case when she moved to Chico in 1999. But that was before she met Marliz, before she found herself in the unknown darker underbelly of this already dark public story. Overlooked by the papers, Marliz’ story was a shocker. She had been the Hooker’s first victim, seven years earlier.

Shortly after moving into her apartment, Foster began to feel the presence of an unknown entity. Her young daughter had seen an angel following her mother around from room to room. Foster is soon plagued with haunting nightmares of abduction, murder, and a secret burial. Doors open and slam shut on their own. Appliances turn on and off, and a Sing ‘N Snore Ernie doll wakes at 3:37 every morning to taunt her. Marliz had finally found someone who might hear her story and tell it to the world.

A story of inhumanity and stolen innocence is not easy to tell, nor to hear. In Foster, Marliz has chosen a worthy messenger. The story is both extremely disturbing and, ultimately, uplifting, as we follow the author’s journey through terror to understanding and right action.

Jodi’s story is reality-bending adventure as she works with police to bring justice to this disturbing, yet ultimately uplifting story.

So listen now and share an interesting, and entertaining show as I chat with my special guest today on A Book and a Chat with Jodi Foster

My guest on today’s 599th “A Book and a Chat” is Chad Schimke the author of “Picker”,” Pieces”, “Walker” and “Weirder”, also Enter Uno, the first in the We are Wildewood series which includes digital art by Solis (heartofsolis.com).

Chad spent a lot of his early years growing up in Northwestern New Mexico and you mix that experience with his current location of San Francisco and you have two vibrant locations that can only enhance ones experiences and provide color for Chad’s work.

Chad pens character driven books that while being paranormal are also filled with a mix of crime, macabre, fantasy and sci-fi there’ even a little romance, all set in iconic settings.

“PICKER” was Chad’s first novel which met much success and reviews such as…

Chad Schimke is a new writer for me … (he) has the ability to pull us in and we become, in a sense, characters in the story. We find ourselves in the criminal underworld and sit on the edge of our chairs as things are sorted out.

His follow up book “PEICES” received equally glowing reviews such as…

Chad Schimke’s book ‘Pieces’ is a masterpiece of intrigue, suspense and magical spells…and walks you right into the everyday paranormal – and he shows how silently ubiquitous it can be at every turn. Based in the city I am from, San Francisco, reading this book took me back to this city rich in stories and history. The author knows San Francisco inside and out and so, combined with such well-developed characters, complete with a witch and much more, made for such compelling reading.. that I couldn’t put this book down.”

With a new book “SECRETS”  a thriller with elements of crime, horror, paranormal and romance soon to be available Chad I’m sure will continue to grow both his audience and his following

Marie D.  Jones was my
fascinating guest on tonight’s “A Book and a Chat”. She has been involved with
the paranormal in one way or another for most of her life, this lead her into
the intriguing world of quantum physics.
Marie is the bestselling author of books such as “Destiny
Vs. Choice: The Scientific and Spiritual Evidence Behind Fate and Free
Will,” “2013: End of Days or a New Beginning – Envisioning the World
After the Events of 2012,” “PSIence: How New Discoveries In Quantum
Physics and New Science May Explain the Existence of Paranormal Phenomena”
and “Looking for God In All the Wrong Places.”
Many of these she has
co-authored with Larry Flaxman.
Marie has also appeared on several TV shows such as “Nostradamus
Effect” series and “30 Odd Minutes” as well as being co-host on
the popular Dreamland radio show interviewing luminaries in the fields of the
paranormal.
After all the nonfiction writing, we learned Marie is now entering
the fiction world.
Not satisfied Marie is also looking to spread her talent to
the silver screen, currently developing “Twilight Child,” a science
fiction feature film and a paranormal horror film called “19 Hz” with
Bruce Lucas Productions, and she is also developing a paranormal-related
television series for tweens.
Marie’s latest book is “THIS
BOOK IS FROM THE FUTURE: A JOURNEY THROUGH PORTALS, RELATIVITY, WORMHOLES AND
OTHER ADVENTURES IN TIME TRAVEL.”
In which Marie ponders the
ethical and moral concerns of time travel, in terms of paradoxes– if you
change something in the past, will it change things in the present– to the
point where you won’t exist anymore?
As one reviewer put it…
“This Book Is From The Future-A Journey Through Portals, Relativity,
Worm Holes” by Marie D. Jones and Larry Flaxmanis a fascinating entry into the
potential world of time travel. The book is well researched with proponents on both
sides of the feasibility argument. The contents of this workwill provide
rigorous debate over the notion of time travel until working models are built
and tested in the coming years.
