It is a welcome back onto the show for today’s guest Gary Grossman.

When previously
on “A Book and a Chat” we learned how Gary’s path had lead him not only
to produce two wonderful non fictions books two nonfiction books “Superman
Serial to Cereal
” and “Saturday Morning TV” to a career that has brought
him numerous awards including the prestigious Governor’s Emmy Award for their
USA Network special, “Healing the Hate” and an Emmy for Best
Informational series for “Wolfgang Puck” for Food Network.

From starting as disc jockey on WHUC at the age of 15 Gary spread his wings
through television. Now along with Robb Weller he forms “Weller/Grossman
Productions” , a prolific documentary and service and information television
production company that have produced more than 6,000 programs first two books
of a Trilogy which some call “Political Thriller” but he prefers “Political
Reality”.

The early success if EXECUTIVE
ACTIONS
” and EXECUTIVE TREASON
have now been followed by a third book “EXECUTIVE COMMAND”.

About “EXECUTIVE COMMAND”: (taken
from Vic’s Media Room)

The clock is ticking down to an attack on America’s most vulnerable natural
resource: Water. Our nation’s water resources are high on terrorist target
lists, but low on America’s consciousness. Water sources are largely
unprotected, providing open access to any enemy with chemicals and biotoxins.

So far we’ve been lucky. But that luck won’t last.

This is the all-too-real-and-present danger facing President Morgan Taylor
and Secret Service Agent Scott Roarke as they desperately try to prevent
hell-bent terrorists from destroying America and its infrastructure city by
city, and state by state.

Fact-based in frightening detail, Executive Command is a political thriller
that will leave you pondering its strong possibility the next time you pour a
glass of water.

The fast moving, thrill a minute,  novel
will not only keep you turning the pages but also make you wonder about the
possible terrifying situation that we could face in the world today.

As one reviewer put it…

One of a trilogy by Gary Grossman. Excellent series each story following
through from the previous. Have just finished the third title Executive Command
– each was a page turner and the genre – US political action thrillers – are a
bit of a ‘habit’ with me even though I am not a US citizen. The plot is well
thought out, the characters interesting and believable overall with plenty
going on to keep the interest high. I have already recommended the trilogy to
others.

I can only add my own recommendation for not just this latest book but the
whole of the trilogy.

So listen now and share an interesting, and entertaining show as I chat with my special guest today on A Book and a Chat with Gary Grossman

Can you remember the early Saturday morning TV shows? Did you listen to the news from far off places on an old valve radio? The guest on today’s “A Book and a Chat” did both of those one he has written about and the other lead him down the path that would produce numerous awards including the prestigious Governor’s Emmy Award for their USA Network special, “Healing the Hate” and an Emmy for Best Informational series for “Wolfgang Puck” for Food Network.
But for Gary Grossman it goes back to those early days listening to that short wave radio and watching the Saturday TV shows. He started at the age of 15 as a disc jockey at WHUC, his local radio station in Hudson, New York before going spreading his wings in television. Now along with  Robb Weller he forms “Weller/Grossman Productions” , a prolific documentary and service and information television production company that have produced more than 6,000 programs.
His early days have not been forgotten and he has produced two nonfiction books “Superman Serial to Cereal” and “Saturday Morning TV”. Now this talented creator has gone into the fiction world creating the first two books of a Trilogy which some call “Political Thriller” but he prefers “Political Reality”
About “Executive Actions” and “Executive Treason” (Taken from Writers and Authors)
EXECUTIVE ACTIONS” and “EXECUTIVE TREASON” have just come out as a pair of eBooks. The books deal with Russian sleeper cell spies still working in the U.S. and a 30-year plot designed to infiltrate the highest levels of U.S. government and bring down the presidency.
The underlying background is real…very real right down to the institution that the Russian spies attended and a coup attempt that parallels an actual plan to unseat Franklin Roosevelt in 1933.
There’s a master assassin and a terrorist who has a personal back-story that drives his machinations.
Gary’s novels are set in today’s world, playing off the news, the media and characters that will seem very familiar to readers.
These first two books will be followed later this year by “EXECUTIVE COMMAND.”
If you like thrill a minute novels full of twists and turns full of suspense and powerfully written then the books of my guest today Gary Grossman are for you.

On today’s “A Book and a Chat” is young author Estevan Vega and his now novel “Arson“.

While in elementary school, Estevan wrote short stories for class, and to his surprise, did rather well. His love and discipline for fiction launched his desire to become a fulltime writer. When he was fifteen, Estevan published “Servant of the Realm,” his first novel. In August 2007, “The Sacred Sin” was published.

His new novel “Arson” is not a story of horror and terror, well not in the Stephen King format of horror stories; however it does tell a story of two young people whose lives are basically torture and torment. A story-lines that dwells somewhere in between fiction and reality.

The demons in the book are not monsters or murders, but rather inner demons. The book covers many issues that young adults face: peer pressure, uncertainty, family conflict and insecurity. With elements of suspense and terror as well as romance it is a book that will leave the reader wanting more.

During the show Estevan shared with us how this story as well as his writing style developed, enabling him to exercise some of his own ghost and feelings along the way.

While it is a schange in style from “The Sacred Sin”, the response Estevan has received from new readers and previous followers alike is a sign of just how far this young author can go. I for one can’t wait for the follow up novel.
So why not listen now to an entertaining thirty minutes of “A Book and a Chat with Estevan Vaga”.

On tonight’s “Book and a Chat” my very special guest Estevan Vega

http://www.estevanvega.com

As a young boy, Estevan Vega never really felt interested in the written word. Far more fascinating things like comic book superheroes and sketching fantastical beings caught his eye. But in the fifth grade, writing short essays for a standoffish teacher ignited a fire that is still burning. Using his imaginative father as a springboard for ideas, Vega set out to write a full manuscript. His dream to become a published author came forth when he was just 15 years old, releasing his first literary creation, Servant of the Realm,to the world, a story about a teenager who sees the future deaths of those he loves and tries to change it.

The Sacred Sin, his second book, was published when he was 18, and shows a darker edge and deeper intensity than his first effort. The Sacred Sin bleeds with honesty and emotion, and tells the story of Jude Foster, a cynical self-loathing detective, assigned to bring down a serial killer capable of stealing victim’s souls without ever touching them.

Listen and enjoy thirty minutes of enjoyable chat as Storyheart and Estevan talk about his writing, books anything else that could be fun.
